Farmers and regional councils will be able to get free details of all mining applications around their properties thanks to a new mining search engine launched in Brisbane this morning.
It is the LNP's new move to defuse tension between new mine applications and rural communities.
Natural Resources Minister Andrew Cripps will launch LAMP - the Local Area Mining Permit report - in the wake of concerns from rural families feeling "squeezed" by mine applications.
