THE Lock the Gate movement will march on the Acland mine coal dump near Jondaryan on Monday next week with the intention of blockading it and shutting it down.

The march will be headed by Drew Hutton, president of the Lock the Gate Alliance, radio personality Alan Jones and many other prominent Queenslanders.

A large crowd of farmers and Lock the Gate supporters will also be marching.
It will start with a rally at the edge of the town and then the gathering will march down the road to the coal dump entrance.

A blockade will be set up at the entrance.

Protesters will push wheelbarrow loads of fruit and vegetables and some will be on horseback.
