A SENATE committee has attacked the State Government's handling of the $50 billion coal seam gas industry.
A report released yesterday by the all-party group recommended a moratorium on the industry and banning it from high-quality agricultural land, moves rejected by the state.
The 24 recommendations from the committee, which toured the gas fields this year, highlight deficiencies in the State Government's planning and management of CSG and call for a review of its management policy.
The State Government did not respond yesterday.
