Mining billionaire Clive Palmer, wants to turn Bimblebox Nature Refuge into a massive coal mine. We’re trying to stop him, and we need your help.
Bimblebox is a wonderful nature refuge in Queensland’s Central West and is a sanctuary for countless species, some of them rare and endangered. It is home to at least 145 bird species, and plenty of other plants and animals. It is supposed to be protected 'in perpetuity' but Palmer’s China First mine would literally dig up half of the 8000 hectare nature refuge, and dig under the other half. The land around Bimblebox Nature Refuge is mostly cleared, so wildlife cannot simply move next door when their habitat is lost.
