Mining magnate Clive Palmer is adamant his $8 billion Waratah Coal project in central Queensland will be approved within months, despite an outcry by environmentalists.
His project in the Galilee Basin, west of Rockhampton, is sited in the Bimblebox Nature Refuge.
But Queensland's richest man has laughed off any question of a moral conflict in mining an area that was handed over to the state government as a nature reserve.
