Gladstone: Rally November

"A convoy of non-violent dynamic activists are organising to depart 22 November 2011 from Nimbin (this date may change by a day or two depending on numbers), going to Gladstone.

OUR MISSION; to provide front line assistance, media coverage, healing, boost morale, provide music and international illumination / support to ...existing aghast community members, current blockaders and protesters at the Gladstone LNG site.

We are encouraging National attendance at the site, have been informed that the Southern Cross University student guild LEXUS will also be gathering a group together to convoy also. We are issuing press releases this week to gather support, more participants and additions to our convoy.

WE DO NOT CONSENT to the mass genocide of marine acquatic life (dugongs, turtles, fish and corals), contamination of the ocean and the dumping of dredge spoils 1km from the Great Barrier Reef. We urge and support UNESCO World Heritage committee's scrutiny of the site and ORDER the QLD State & Australian Federal Government to halt ALL dredging, development and works associated with the LNG / Curtis Is. / Gladstone Harbour works immediately until a strategic assessment of the impacts of those developments has been conducted.

This message - is to be shared and spread in good faith."
All support, enquiries, co-ordination can be directed at myself, juanita.halden@hotmail.com, Nimbin Environment Centre .
