Protester chained to dredger

YOU can call it brave, suicidal, crazy or inspirational. Either way, a protester has managed to chain himself to one of the backhoe dredgers in Gladstone Harbour.

Potts Driscoll, who recently completed a 540 kilometre walk along the planned Coal Seam Gas pipeling to Gladstone, paddled to the dredge at about 9.30 am. He climbed aboard and chained himself to the vessel.
Water police were called to the scene. It is not know what time they cut Mr Driscoll loose.
