Katter visits Chinchilla

RETURNING CONFIDENCE to food and agriculture is the goal of Federal MP Bob Katter, who visited Chinchilla briefly yesterday.

The Katter's Australian Party leader announced six policies he is determined to implement if elected in nine days.
Agriculture, profit to industries, a new Department of Primary Industry, ethanol, government discrimination, food labelling and testing were all listed as his priorities.
Mr Katter spoke passionately about the uniformity of laws and said although he was not knocking the mining industry he felt there was strong discrimination evident concerning that industry.
"A mining company can clear 10,000 acres, no permits required," Mr Katter said.
