Fears over CSG site run-off to Qld farm

The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) is investigating fears that run-off from a coal seam gas site in southern Queensland has entered a property.

Joe Hill owns a cattle farm that adjoins a CSG drilling site near Miles operated by MetroCoal.

He told ABC Local that mud and water from the site has washed onto his property after recent rain.

The water has not been tested and could be toxic, Mr Hill says.

"There's no way that we can be sure that our stock don't get contaminated by runoff," he said.
