Darling Downs' green groups say they will ask local candidates to 'drop the spin' when they take part in a state election debate tomorrow.
Most of the candidates in the Condamine, Nanango and Toowoomba electorates will take part in the forum at Gowrie Junction.
One of the organisers, Jim Wiltshire, says voters expect candidates to be honest about their stance on coal seam gas mining and other local issues.
"We're going to try and keep the candidates to be really straightforward with their answers," he said.
"We don't want any political waffle.
"We want people to hear the real story about what the parties represent and what their plans are for the local area around Toowoomba."
