PHILIPSBURG - Bob Jacobs of the Centre County Planning Office and Centre County
Commissioner Michael Pipe gave an overview of the recently passed Impact Fee
Legislation at last night's Rush Township Supervisors meeting. Jacobs said the
IFL passed last month and is based on Act 13, House Bill 1950.
"This Impact Fee Legislation will essentially mean that all the gas drilling companies will have to provide some form of compensation to the affected counties and municipalities where drilling activity is occurring," said Jacobs.
