Liverpool Plains - High Value Ag Land : ABC Radio


In this bulletin, the black soils of the Liverpool Plains have been identified as "high value agricultural land" under new Draft mapping released by the state government; The Nationals' member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson, told Parliament the Draft policy ends a 16-year state of flux for landholders and developers; the Nature Conservation Council says the Strategic Regional Land Use draft policy favours mining over the environment and local communities; Police are appealing for public assistance to find a Moore Creek woman who went missing from her home on Monday; and a four-month investigation into spills of untreated coal seam gas water in the Pilliga has been re-opened by the federal government.
