Bob Katter's party says it will give farmers the right to lock mining and gas companies off their properties.
Katter's Australian Party released its agriculture policy on Wednesday, vowing to restore confidence and certainty to Queensland's farming sector.
"Consecutive governments over the past two decades have damaged rural industries ... and left those remaining fragile and at severe risk of failure," Mr Katter said in a statement.
His plan includes the creation of a new department of primary industries and enshrining farmers' rights to refuse resource companies access to their land.
