A former executive of British energy giant BG Group Plc has pleaded not guilty to insider trading and will face a trial in October.

Stuart Alfred Fysh pleaded not guilty in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday to four charges.

Two counts relate to his purchase of 100,000 and 150,000 shares in Arrow Energy in June 2007.

The others relate to purchases of 240,000 and 10,000 shares in Queensland Gas Company Ltd in December 2007.

His bail was continued and his trial was listed for October 15.
