Coal seam gas under fire

Late last year, the Environment Minister announced that coal seam gas companies would be charged a levy to enable the Queensland Water Commission to manage the impact of coal seam gas extraction on groundwater supplies.

However, no start date has been set for that levy.

Steve spoke with Aidan McLindon (Member for Beaudesert and State Leader of Katter's Australia Party) about the coal seam gas issue. He started by asking Mr McLindon if he was surprised that the fracking process had been used in a river in his own electorate.
