One of the great natural resources we have in Queensland is Coal Seam Gas. It's in big demand from overseas consumers, mining companies are working furiously to mine, transport and sell what's underground. Ask farmers about the CSG industry and many worry it's a threat to Queensland's agricultural future. Dredging in Gladstone Harbour continues to raise questions about water quality and the impact on fish and marine life. But Queensland stands to make billions of dollars from CSG. How do we get the balance right?
In discussion tonight are Vicky Darling, the Environment Minister in Queensland, Andrew Powell, Member for Glasshouse and environment minister, and Libby Connors, the Greens candidate for Yeerongpilly.
