BROADCASTER Alan Jones regrets not having thrown his hat in the Queensland election ring.   
Jones, 70, said he feels so strongly about the mining industry's threat on prime farming land that he wished he was a candidate in the March 24 state election.

"I think I should have run at this election and I made a mistake by not (running),'' said 2GB's breakfast host.  "I am a Queenslander. I do own property here.
