WOLLONDILLY shire residents are encouraged to attend a coal seam gas workshop at Oakdale tonight.
The Environmental Defenders Office NSW will host the free workshop at Oakdale Workers Club from 7pm.
The session will explain how exploration and extraction of coal seam gas is regulated in NSW with a focus on landholder rights and advocacy strategies.
It will also address current coal seam gas titles held in Wollondilly shire.
The effects of coal seam gas extraction and exploration in Sydney's water catchment areas will also be discussed.
