CELIA Mackay is not widely-known across rural Queensland. She is an individual among thousands of unassuming and modest farmers who toil in their paddocks across the State each day providing food for the plates of the nation.

She fattens lambs, breeds cattle and grows forage crops across two properties on the Western Downs and displays the same fighting spirit that has enabled farmers around the globe to survive droughts, floods and market slumps.
 
But now she is mustering her courage for a bold move that will no doubt draw strong interest across rural areas and test the true impact an individual can make when they decide to stand their ground.
 
Ms Mackay is risking her entire estate to launch a legal challenge against coal seam gas miner QGC in a desperate effort to receive a fair deal for a pipeline she never wanted on her property in the first place.
 
The Western Downs landholder needs to raise $50,000 to fund legal action against the company.
