Australian British High Commissioner Paul Madden and Western Australian Energy Minister Peter Collier have revealed the new Northern Australia Gas High Value Opportunity Program, which will encourage more British companies to do business in Australia’s rapidly expanding LNG industry.
The United Kingdom Government already works closely with the governments of Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory to develop closer trade and economic links, but this program is a new initiative which is predicted to increase British investment in Australia.
Mr Madden said “The UK is already the second largest foreign direct investor in Australia and UK goods exports to Australia increased 32 per cent year-on-year in 2011.
