KATTER'S Australian Party candidate for Gladstone Anthony Beezley went on the attack yesterday over dredging in Gladstone Harbour.
To back up his argument, the party's state leader Aidan McLindon came to town, joining Mr Beezley at Gladstone Marina.
"This is the hub that is being affected in Gladstone," Mr Beezley said of the marina.
"The tourism, the fishing, it's all here. Gladstone's always been about lifestyle and this has been the hub of that."
Mr Beezley and Mr McLindon said, if elected, the party would immediately halt dredging in Gladstone Harbour until the relevant companies could prove it was not harmful to the harbour's health.
