Farmers to bring CSG fight to Ashgrove

HUNDREDS of Queensland farmers will bring their fight against coal seam gas (CSG) miners to the key Brisbane seat of Ashgrove on Monday.
The Lock the Gate Alliance against CSG say up to 300 farmers from the Darling Downs, Scenic Rim and central Queensland will front the Ashgrove campaign offices of Labor incumbent Kate Jones and her rival, Liberal National Party leader Campbell Newman, around 10.15am.

"They will throw their hats on the ground in the old traditional bushie way of saying they are ready for a fight," Lock the Gate Alliance founder Drew Hutton told AAP.
