Lock The Gate president Drew Hutton (centre) talks with the Australian Party’s Queensland leader Aidan McLindon and federal leader Bob Katter
PROTESTORS turned out in force to watch the court case against Lock the Gate president Drew Hutton in Dalby yesterday.
Mr Hutton was charged on March 29 for obstructing activity by Queensland Gas Company in Chinchilla.
Federal leader of the Australian Party Bob Katter and Greens leader Bob Brown were among the supporters.
"It's a pleasure for me to be here with my old friend Drew Hutton," Senator Brown said.
"This case will take its course, but when and until the law gives farmers rights to have a priority for their use of land over mining companies ... we haven't got the law right."
