CSG, agriculture can coexist, says Arrow Energy boss

ARROW Energy chief executive Andrew Faulkner has hit back at critics of the coal-seam gas industry, arguing that the resources sector and agriculture can and do coexist with benefits for both.
The coal-seam gas boss told the International Gas Symposium in Brisbane yesterday that the resource industry was well-established, heavily regulated and extensively researched.

Despite public concern, agriculture and coal-seam gas extraction could coexist, he said.

"I don't think it is an either-or," Mr Faulkner said. "Over the past decade, and in many cases even longer, there is demonstrable evidence of the success of coexistence."
