The Namoi Water Study is a highly anticipated model that will be used to assess the risks associated with coal mining and coal seam gas development on water resources within the catchment.
The Namoi Catchment Water Study Community Advisory Committee is made up of landholders, local residents, farmer and water bodies representatives and indigenous community members.
The CAC has raised some concerns in relation to the scenarios and who will take ownership of the model once the study is complete.
The group wants the study to be given to the Namoi Water Study.
