Compensation deal with Traditional Owners over gas hub may not hold: Former Judge

A retired Federal Court judge has cast doubt on claims by the Western Australian Government it won’t have to re-negotiate a compensation deal with Traditional Owners over a gas hub on the Kimberley coast.
Murray Wilcox, a long term critic of the project, says this week’s ruling by the Supreme Court, that notices submitted by the government were invalid, are more significant than Premier Colin Barnett believes.
