Community input sought on Arrow LNG Plant EIS

Media Release:

Arrow Energy’s LNG Plant Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be discussed at community information sessions held throughout the Gladstone region next week.

Arrow Energy Chief Executive Officer Andrew Faulkner said the sessions were being held to describe the company’s proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant and its potential environmental, economic and social impacts and benefits.

"These sessions allow us to hear direct from the community what they think about the Arrow LNG Plant EIS," Mr Faulkner said.

"It’s vital we present all potential impacts for people to consider but also listen to their feedback — so we can address that in our planning.

"The EIS is a comprehensive and very detailed document that has independently examined many areas of interest and concern, but different people and groups will have different interests.

"Extensive, independent technical studies have been undertaken for this EIS, including an ecological impact assessment and an examination of coastal processes and marine water quality, potential socio-economic impacts and much more.

"People interested in the Arrow LNG Plant or who want to make a submission on it, should attend these sessions in the Gladstone region next week.
