Queensland anti-coal seam gas (CSG) campaigner Drew Hutton has been found guilty of obstructing a gas company during a blockade.
The Lock The Gate Alliance president has been fined $2,000 but will not have a conviction recorded.
Hutton was arrested in March for preventing the Queensland Gas Company (QGC) from entering a property on the Tara residential estate on Queensland's western Darling Downs.
He had said he was only trying to stop the company from entering private land.
Hutton says he is considering an appeal against the decision but that the magistrate's ruling will not change his anti-CSG campaign.
