Hunter Valley winemakers expel AGL

HUNTER Valley winemakers are going to expel natural gas company AGL from their ranks because of its coal seam gas exploration.
The Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association (HVWIA) has passed a resolution calling for the expulsion of AGL.

"CSG exploration and mining just don't belong in Australia's most iconic winery region," HVWIA president Andrew Margan said in a statement today.

"There's been no evidence of the mining and wine industries being able to work collaboratively or co-exist."
